Lunatic Express

Lunatic Express

I don’t know how many times I have had a ride on LE chugging from Mombasa to Nairobi or vice versa with my grand parents. Having our own room in the carriage, playing, laughing, watching beautiful scenery, listening to stories from my grand dad, or sleeping on the bunk bed as the tugging train jolts you slightly side by side as you rock to sleep.

I really miss the good old times. 😉

Ed’s note: Appeared on Sunday Dawn on May 7. You can read more about the history of East Africa railways here.
